Women's Networking, Women Leadership

People ask me how long I’ve been selling jewellery, and when I say over 30 years they are often surprised. For me, it feels like yesterday since I truly have a passion for what I do.

My experiences over the years have taught me a lot about living and loving life. You need to have a balance that will keep you in harmony with your family, friends and business. Some perks of owning your own business are setting your own hours and not having to fight the traffic to go to a job every morning.

At 25, I married my husband Curtis, the love of my life. We were three months married when we heard about Fifth Avenue Collection – Beautiful Jewellery, a Canadian company from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. We were both working full-time jobs and looking for something to do together for a tax write-off. The company gave me the beautiful jewellery to sell and helped me grow as a person, to think more about others instead of myself. I love mentoring and helping others to become business owners and changing lives. We’ve travelled all around the world where over half our trips were earned trips paid for by Fifth Avenue Collection. How many of you working a job are given free trips?

We sold jewellery across Canada, all the way to Newfoundland. It was an amazing holiday doing what we love, selling beautiful jewellery and getting paid for having fun! I have no regrets and knew that every moment throughout my life had a purpose and was meant to be. It can be for you, too!

My famous motto is “ASK! ASK! ASK!” Just ask, because if you don’t, how will you ever get the sale?
