IF IT IS TO BE, IT’S UP TO ME
I NEVER advise people to become real estate agents! It’s a tough industry, saturated in nearly every city. It’s fickle, with ups and downs depending on the market, and it demands a 24/7 mindset where real estate must be your top priority.
Still, despite knowing all these facts, I couldn’t resist following my intuition and getting licensed to serve my clients. Because above all, an entrepreneur must find a way to trust their gut.
Over the past 20 years, I’ve supported some of the highest-ranking real estate teams in Calgary, became the Manager of Training for a Keller Williams Brokerage, and was hired as a business coach for top agents and brokerages across Canada. I’ve even had the privilege of speaking at Canada’s largest real estate conference, REALTOR®QUEST, about providing concierge-level service and client care.
Twice, I’ve been interviewed by FORBES on the topics of Time Management and Referral Marketing, and since 2022, I’ve been deeply involved in editing, rewriting, and improving the licensing education for new Realtors® as the VP of RELO, in partnership with RECA (Real Estate Council of Alberta).
In my opinion, the hardest part about becoming an entrepreneur is taking full responsibility for your success—or failure—and betting on yourself. As the saying goes, “If it is to be, it’s up to me!” Over two decades, I’ve learned you can’t expect to build a million-dollar business on hundred-dollar habits. I take my business practices seriously and have authored a book on driving growth for the solopreneur, which I’m honored to share at meetings, events, and conferences.
I love what I do and am fortunate to be at a stage in life where my four children are grown, my grandchildren keep me young, and my husband supports my BHAGs—big, hairy, audacious goals!
I’m here to help and would love to connect, so reach out and let me know how I can assist you.
It’s your move!
