Harness The Power of Intentional Event Design
What Stories Can I Help You Tell?

When I started my career in hospitality and events management, I imagined spending my days planning lavish parties. What I discovered was that, beneath the glitz and glam, there is an incredible amount of strategy that goes into designing a successful event. Gone are the days of the “pretty party”; events are now seen as valuable marketing tools fueled by a core message or purpose that needs to be communicated. They are an investment and require a measurable return. I quickly realized that for me to be successful, I needed to become an expert at identifying the core message at the heart of each event and then crafting a strategy around how that message was going to be delivered.

I came to understand how events could be leveraged as a way of communicating a brand story or message to a captive audience. We have all gone to an event or gathering with a group of friends or colleagues and experienced something that made an impact; that resonated and stayed with us long after the moment had passed. This is the power of shared experiences. An event is essentially a curated shared experience, and that experience can be intentionally designed to deliver a message to an audience. Messages can be as literal as showcasing a new product or service or as intangible as evoking an emotion, feeling, or lasting impression. I call this Event Storytelling.

For the past 20+ years, I have honed my craft as an award-winning Event Storyteller. My team and I have helped many organizations and brands identify the core purpose and message at the heart of their events and build the strategy around communicating that message through shared experiences. When Creative Twist was invited to be a preferred vendor for Canadian Tire Corporation, it was because we had worked with them for many years and gained a deep understanding of their brand, values, and messaging. This understanding has allowed us to help them tell their stories through a variety of intentionally designed events, including their 100th Anniversary National Dealers Convention.

Event Storytelling through intentional event design can be applied to any size and style of event. From experiential brand activations to fundraising galas to corporate conferences and client events, utilizing a strategic and intentional approach ensures an impactful shared experience and a solid return on investment.

I would love to connect and see how my team and I can help you achieve your goals and communicate your core messages through events. What stories can we help you tell?
